This book is dedicated to the men and women of the Irish Lifeboat Service who day and night put themselves in harms way to save lives at sea. In answering the call they abandoned their love ones, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, at home, at work, and at play, and knowingly set out on a mission that hopefully will see them return safely. This organisation is so unique in that it is manned by volunteers who willingly give their time, dedication, enthusiasm, and in some cases their lives so that others, known or unknown to them might live.
The proceeds of this book will be donated to the RNLI.
