The author, Dominic A Burns, had a varied professional career.  He was a teacher in Primary and Secondary schools; Head of Drama in a Teachers Training College; An Adjudicator at Speech and Drama festivals.  He has adapted and directed on stage many,

literary works, including: Michael McLaverty’s two lyrical novels, “Call My Brother Back” and “Lost Fields”; Robert Burns’ “Tam O’Shanter”, Samuel Coleridge’s “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner”, Richard Crawshaw’s “The Assumption”.
