About the Book:

I am talking about a man who would take on any challenge, not just to prove a point, but his determination, to put his ability and succeed in whatever his goals were. His final ambitions were to get into some business that he knew instinctively he could succeed in. Let me tell you, the one he chose, happened to be a monumental challenge and that was, The Marble and Granite Industry. This industry is steeped with old time companies, that have controlled the industry for at least one hundred and fifty years, but, he reasoned that, with a bit of luck, a couple of good contacts, and a friend or two, and a lot of Moxie, it might see him through.

I can’t give you the answer now, but it sure will be interesting to see how it all plays out. The answer of course will take a couple of years or much more, to find out if he is successful. I know he will be very confident, he can pull it off. In the meantime, keep your fingers crossed, and offer a little prayer for a kind hearted and great friend.

About the Author:

I am Denis McNamara, born March 10th 1925, and this is my story... From early school days to the USA, where I still live part time. About my time playing GAA with the Meath Football team and playing with Offaly in New York. Getting my first job in the USA and getting into business and succeeding where a lot of people failed - The Granite and Marble Business.

“I’ve always wanted to say this. All knowledge is second hand. The greatest intellectuals of our time or any other time must know that in comparison to the supreme being that put the whole universe together, with the millions of satellites, meteors, planets and stars swirling around in the limitless stratosphere, all in their own orbit, held in their orbits by a super magnetic power, is light years ahead of human comprehension. That same super power gave us relatively speaking a limited capacity to understand his super masterpiece. We are beginning to get smart when we realize how little we know in comparison to that Supreme Being, some of us call God.”
